Position Overview
The Front Desk Supervisor is an hourly, hands-on leadership role responsible for supporting the front desk team and helping oversee guest service across the lobby experience, including The Storeroom’s coffee, retail, and evening bar operations. This role ensures smooth front desk operations, assists with shift oversight and training, and helps deliver The Ozarker Lodge’s unique brand of warm, adventurous hospitality. This position will also be responsible for supervising overall operations as a Manager on Duty in the absence of other supervisory personnel.
Scope of Work + Team and Primary Mission
- This position reports to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager of the Hotel
- This position supports the Front Office, Reservations, and overall Guest Experience Departments
Key Responsibilities
Guest Services & Front Desk Oversight
- Greet and lead guests with check-in, check-out, reservations, and inquiries.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and escalate when needed.
- Maintain accuracy with financial transactions, card authorizations, key control, and system operations.
- Uphold The Ozarker Lodge’s service standards at all times.
Team Support & Leadership
- Provide shift oversight and support for Front Desk Agents.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
- Model positive guest engagement and foster a collaborative, supportive culture.
The Storeroom Operations
- Assist with coffee and retail service during the day, ensuring speed, quality, and guest satisfaction.
- Support bar operations in the evening, including basic bartending, service, and guest interaction.
- Help maintain product displays, stock retail items, and ensure accurate transactions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service standards.
Collaboration & Brand Support
- Work across departments to create seamless guest experiences.
- Assist with execution of special on-property programming such as live music, movie nights, or seasonal events when assigned.
- Promote The Ozarker Lodge’s offerings (cabana rentals, firepit experiences, retail items, packages, etc.).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality coursework preferred.
- 2+ years of hospitality or customer service experience, ideally in a front desk or guest-facing role.
- Prior supervisory or shift-lead experience a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with hotel systems; basic barista and/or bartending experience preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:

Prior Experience:
- 1+ years supervisory experience in a hotel or other customer relations Position

IT Expertise:
- Advanced knowledge of computer software (including Microsoft Office, outlook) and web analytics tools is preferred.

Education:
- High School education or equivalent experience.

Subject Expertise:
- Ability to communicate in English. Second language desirable.
- Ability to achieve positive guest relations and maximize guest satisfaction.
- Ability to handle cash and credit transactions.
- Ability to enforce all company rules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Knowledge of cash handling and credit transaction procedures.
- Ability to work variable schedules, including weekends.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all property safety and security procedures as required maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests.
- Report any unusual occurrences and/or request to Supervisor.

- Travel required: As needed for hotel familiarization, content creation shoots and to meet with colleagues.
- Hours Required: Must primarily work during Springboard Hospitality business hours, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (PST), while understanding that the hotel business functions 24/7 and some weekend or holiday work may occasionally be required.
